SL pick Malinga, Kenya bat

Colombo - Spearhead Lasith Malinga was recalled by Sri Lankan as Kenya won the toss and elected to bat in the Cricket World Cup Group A match at R. Premadasa stadium on Tuesday.

Kenya, who lost their first two matches heavily, brought in fast bowler Peter Ongondo and batsman David Obuya for Thomos Odoyo and Rakep Patel in the two changes from their line-up against Pakistan.

Sri Lanka, who beat Canada in their opening match before losing to Pakistan, made two changes, with Malinga and Ajantha Mendis returning to the squad in place of Thisara Perera and Rangana Herath.

Teams

Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara (capt), Mahela Jayawardene, Upul Tharanga, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Thilan Samaraweera, Chamara Silva, Angelo Mathews, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga, Muttiah Muralitharan, Ajantha Mendis.

Kenya: Kenya: Jimmy Kamande (capt), Seren Waters, Collins Obuya, Steve Tikolo, Tanmay Mishra, Morris Ouma, Peter Ongondo, David Obuya, Nehemiah Odhiambo, Elijah Otieno, Shem Ngoche.

Umpires: Tony Hill (NZL) and Shahvir Tarapore (IND)
