And if SA (of course they will) win their match against NZ then who do we face? Will it be the winner of the Pakistan/WI, Ind/Aus or the SL/Eng game?

      Willem Verhoef - 2011-03-20 20:27

SL/Eng We'll be avoiding Pak, Aus and Ind until (hopefully) the final, We definitely got the better QF/SF draw.

      Logoll - 2011-03-20 21:45

Will it be SL/Eng winner we face, because the semi draw is Quarter winner 1 v Quarter winner 3 and Qaurter winner 2 v Quater winner 4. So with the above schedule it means we will face Pakistan ??

      Sipho - 2011-03-21 00:03

I can see Eng winning this one against SL. The question is can we get to the semis. Methinks we can.

      Thomas - 2011-03-21 01:26

It doesn't matter who we face < we have got three games to win, and then the cup is ours!!!

  • trindian - 2011-03-20 20:18

party time over!!! get ready to fly back home from Bangladesh...

      Nkunzi - 2011-03-20 23:42

What does the 'tr' stand for - maybe 'trembling indian'? haaaahahaha!

      Wesley - 2011-03-21 06:02

@ Nkunzi: its probably the abbreviation of his corner store.

      Flightposit - 2011-03-21 10:46

Ì THINK YOU,TRINDIAN,IS JUST A TROBLEMAKER AS ALL YOUR COMMENTS ARE NEGATIVE ABOUT SA,WE DID A SURVEY AMONGST THE INDIAN COMMUNITY AND 99% SUPPORT THE PROTEAS,THE REASON WE SEE SO MUCH SUPPORT FOR INDIA/PAKISTAN WHEN TORING HERE IS BECAUSE OF THE INFLUX OF POEPLE FROM THE SUBCONTINENT MIGRATING HERE.THE BORN AND BRED INDIAN SOUTH AFRICANS,MAJORITY, SUPPORT SA.

  • BardofAvon - 2011-03-20 21:03

Omg imagine if we choke against the bleck kepps...

      brigadier - 2011-03-20 21:27

Nah, bard, Id much rather spend my time imagining that we beat them, and then end up playing England again in the semis just to set the record straight

      BardofAvon - 2011-03-20 23:16

@resent... of course you are right but I can't help but have little faith in the lads' bmt....

      Thomas - 2011-03-21 01:27

      It has happened before!!

      Leon - 2011-03-21 08:08

negative imagination just does'nt do it for me

  • whalied - 2011-03-20 22:15

Now the fun starts... The India v Aus match should be a cracker

      Colin - 2011-03-21 13:26

      Australia will see their asses.

  • brigadier - 2011-03-20 22:41

@ Logoll, it will def be the SL/England game. You can look at the fixtures on espncricinfo.com

  • Druss - 2011-03-20 23:36

We are done! I do not think we have the goods to beat the Black Caps, they have been playing brilliantly. If we are to win we are gonna have to dig really deep..

      No Viejon - 2011-03-21 00:03

With a bit of luck Vittori will be captaining again and they will return to their usual losing streak.

      resentphil - 2011-03-21 14:09

Have you been watching the WC games?? Sri Lanka gave NZ such a hiding. Its pretty uncommon for NZ's batting innings to fire enough to actually win. The game against was Pakistan was an exception but only because it was Ross Taylor's birthday. Haha! They dont have the ability to do the same thing against our bowling attack.

  • Sipho - 2011-03-20 23:57

Time to seperate the men from the boys now. Smith, you better man up or else. Its back to provincial cricket and international isolation boet. One last chance for Biff... I can see him and Kallis standing up and being counted for the next couple of matches. We have been waiting a looong time biff. Be a man and smash a 60 ball century. Come on manne.

      Thomas - 2011-03-21 01:29

      Well said Sipho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wesley - 2011-03-21 06:05

I'm going to be cheeky and put in my predictions. Wednesday: Pakistan vs. West Indies, Mirpur Thursday: India vs. Australia, Motera Friday: South Africa vs. New Zealand, Mirpur Saturday: Sri Lanka vs. England, Colombo Luckily we have probably the easiest quarter (touch wood) Thursday is a massive game! Wednesday: Pakistan Thursday: Australia (but its 50/50) Friday: Sa Saturday: Sri Lanka MEANING, Semi's = SA vs Sri Lanka OZ vs Pakistan so SA vs OZ final... (Prediction pending) but my heart says SA.

      resentphil - 2011-03-21 13:08

I think India should take Aus. They're defintely not the side they used to be (they couldnt even bowl out Kenya) and India has the home crowd advantage.

      Colin - 2011-03-21 13:33

Yes I agree, for once a person is writing what we expext our team to do and make no mistake there is far too much to loose for them apart from saving face. It is for all South African fans as well.

  • rsheen1 - 2011-03-21 06:53

I will admit we have had an easy road to the QFinals and hopefully an easy match against NZ. the easy road worked well for us in the rugby world cup(2007) but lets not get complacent against NZ they can be really good on their day and SA can suck if it is not their day but lets not tempt fate. I hope we get thru this one and i believe Ozwill bow out to india and an indian v SA Final....what a game that would be but lets not jump the gun one game ata time boys..Bring that cup home our trophy cabinet has never seen it

  • MikeNZ - 2011-03-21 09:14

a stat that should have you all worried a little - SA has never won a knock out game in a cricket world cup ever!!

      Jakestefer - 2011-03-21 11:38

Neither has New Zealand, ever(and they have played 4 more world cups than Proteas have), so this would be a first for one of the teams. Should be a good game, but I think Proteas will take it

      resentphil - 2011-03-21 13:12

Aus beat SA in the 99 semi-final. So they would've had to win their quarter final match to be there.

      Colin - 2011-03-21 13:34

There is always a first time don't you think.

  • Flightposit - 2011-03-21 11:01

  • Stox - 2011-03-21 12:16

Lol! India v Aus :) Could have been the final. Good news for us as one of the top 3 teams will get eliminated before we have to play them ;)

  • Colin - 2011-03-21 13:27

SA will easily beat NZ in the 1/4 final play off as they have beaten better teams up till the present. Just give them a chance to proove themselves or is that too much to ask.

  • Mark - 2011-03-21 13:45

    good luck South Africa
