Johannesburg - Cricket SA president Mtutuzeli Nyoka must be reinstated, the High Court in Johannesburg ruled on Friday, finding that his sacking was unlawful and should be set aside.
Nyoka was dismissed in February after a vote of no confidence against him.
However, he took CSA to court, claiming it failed to follow correct procedures as it did not inform him of the special general meeting at which the vote was taken.
"Cricket South Africa has noted the Nyoka judgment and intends to appeal that judgment," it said in a statement on Friday.
"Cricket South Africa will file notice of appeal in due course," it said.
After he was fired, Nyoka threatened to expose corruption in cricket and accused CSA chief executive Gerald Majola of lying about bonus payments awarded to 38 members of CSA staff last year.
