Cape Town - Cape Cobras captain Justin Kemp has been added to the Chennai Super Kings squad for the Champions League T20.
He replaces swing bowler Thilan Thushara after the 29-year-old sustained a groin injury while playing for Sri Lanka 'A' against Pakistan 'A' last week.
Kemp was a regular member of the Super Kings’ team during their successful 2010 Indian Premier League campaign.
It means that there are now seven South Africans attached to the various IPL franchises for this tournament in addition to the two South African franchises.
Kemp and Albie Morkel will represent the Super Kings, JP Duminy and Ryan McLaren will turn out for the Mumbai Indians and Jacques Kallis, Dale Steyn and Dillon du Preez will be in the colours of the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The CLT20 extravaganza, which features 23 matches over 17 days, runs from September 10-26.
Tickets for CLT20 are available from Computicket. Tickets are priced from R30 to R200. Fans can also purchase tickets directly from the host venues.
