Dubai - ICC match referee Chris Broad says Pakistan security forces left Sri Lanka's cricketers as "sitting ducks" when they were attacked by gunmen in Lahore.
Broad, a former England cricketer who was officiating at the second Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, escaped injury in Tuesday's attack but says police totally deserted the buses when they were attacked.
Speaking at a news conference after his arrival back in Britain on Wednesday, Broad said: "There was not a sign of a policeman anywhere. They had clearly left the scene and left us to be sitting ducks."
