Cape Town - Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell has apologised for his shot selection after going out for a rather bizarre golden duck.
Maxwell was playing for the Melbourne Stars against the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash T20 League when he charged down the wicket at a Cameron Duffield delivery, only to bizarrely leave the ball - which went on to hit the stumps.
The flamboyant stroke-maker apologised to fans afterwards, tweeting:
The Stars went on to lose the match by one run, after failing to chase down the Heat's 164/8.

Sorry stars fans, not good enough, dumb and sh*t is the only way to describe tonight's events.
