Bristol - England batsman Ian Bell has fractured a bone in his foot while fielding and could now miss the Test series against Pakistan.

Bell broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot after falling awkwardly in the second one-day international against Bangladesh on Saturday.

Fielding at square leg, Bell dived for the ball hit by Bangladesh batsman Junaid Siddique in the 10th over.

The timing could not be worse for Bell. He was recalled to the 50-over team for England's six-wicket victory against Bangladesh on Thursday when he scored 84 not out and was man of the match.

The three-match series will conclude on Monday at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

England's first Test against Pakistan starts on July 29.
