BCCI object to Hussain

New Dehli - The Indian cricket board has objected to former England captain Nasser Hussain's comments during this week's Twenty20 International at Old Trafford in Manchester when he referred to some Indian fielders as "donkeys."

The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) vice president, Rajiv Shukla said on Friday that Hussain's jibe "was totally uncalled for" and that "every player has to be respected."

Hussain, while commentating during the game on Wednesday, said India had "one or two donkeys in the field."

World Cup champions India lost to England by six wickets, continuing a dismal tour of the country. India were whitewashed in the four-test series and begin a five-game one-day series on Saturday.
