Proteas win toss, bat first

Port Elizabeth - South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first in the second one-day international against Australia at St George's Park on Sunday, a match the Proteas have to win to have a chance of claiming the three-match series.

Live scoring

South Africa retained the same team that went down to Australia by 93 runs in the rain-affected series-opener at Centurion on Wednesday.

Michael Clarke's Australia made one change following their winning start to the one-dayers, recalling vice-captain and opening batsman Shane Watson after he recovered from a hip injury.

Young allrounder Mitchell Marsh - who made his ODI debut in the first game - misses out in favour of Watson.

Teams:

South Africa: Graeme Smith, Hashim Amla (captain), Jacques Kallis, JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, David Miller, Mark Boucher (wk), Johan Botha, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.

Australia: David Warner, Shane Watson, Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke (captain), Mike Hussey, Steve Smith, Brad Haddin (wk), Mitchell Marsh, Mitchell Johnson, Xavier Doherty, Doug Bollinger, Pat Cummins.
