Proteas win toss, bat first

Cape Town - Proteas captain Hashim Amla has won the toss and elected to bat first in their T20 international against Australia at Newlands.

The second and final T20 clash is at the Wanderers on Sunday before the old foes battle it out in an eagerly anticipated one-day international series - which includes three ODI's at SuperSport Park in Centurion, St George's Park in Port Elizabeth and Kingsmead in Durban respectively.

The ODI series will be followed by a two-Test series, starting at Newlands on 9 November, followed by a Test at Kingsmead on 17 November.

After the conclusion of the Australian series, Sri Lanka visit these shores for Three Tests and five ODI's.

The Proteas will then embark on an away tour to New Zealand in February next year.
