The Proteas made one change to the team which lost to the Australians at Newlands on Thursday evening.

Seamer, Wayne Parnell, comes in to replace slow left-arm spinner, Robin Peterson.

Proteas captain Hashim Amla was not too disappointed at losing the toss, stating they "would have bowled first" in any case.

Amla said his charges are looking for an improved performance in all facets of play after their below-par performance in Cape Town, where they lost by five wickets.

Australia's Shane Watson - the man-of-the-match at Newlands - has a slight hip niggle and is being rested. All-rounder Mitchell Marsh replaces him and will play his first international match.

After Sunday's final T20 game, a much anticipated one-day international series follows - which includes three ODI's at SuperSport Park in Centurion, St George's Park in Port Elizabeth and Kingsmead in Durban respectively.

The ODI series will be followed by a two-Test series, starting at Newlands on 9 November, followed by a Test at Kingsmead on 17 November.

Teams:

South Africa: Graeme Smith, Hashim Amla (captain), Colin Ingram, JP Duminy, David Miller, Heino Kuhn (wk), Johan Botha, Wayne Parnell, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Morne Morkel, Juan Theron.

Australia: David Warner, Matthew Wade (wk), Shaun Marsh, David Hussey, Cameron White (captain), Steve Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Steve O'Keefe, James Pattinson, Pat Cummins, Doug Bollinger.
