New Proteas T20 kit launched

Johannesburg - Adidas have revealed and launched the new Proteas kit for the forthcoming ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh in Johannesburg on Monday.

The jersey will have an embossed Protea across the front to further promote the national symbol established with the Proteas cricket team.

According to CSA's head of marketing, Marc Jury, the jersey reflects a youthful and fresh team, which will appeal to all fans.

Adidas say that the jersey features new and innovative Climachill technology.

"This apparel technology has been introduced in other categories and uses titanium cooling dots strategically placed at keys areas on the body to help with cooling the core body temperature.

"This will ensure that the Proteas remain cool on the pitch," says Adidas' Gugu Ntuli.

The jersey will see both the men’s and women’s team’s playing in it with the men’s team playing in it for the first time in the upcoming T20 International series against Australia.
