Aussies set to tour Sri lanka

Colombo - Sri Lanka Cricket said Monday Australia will tour the country in August and September, playing three Test matches, five one-day games and two Twenty20 internationals.

It will be Australia's first tour of Sri Lanka for seven years, having won a Test series there 3-0 in 2004.

The tour will start with the Twenty20 matches on Aug. 6 and 8, followed by the five ODIs from Aug. 10 to 22 and the three Tests starting Aug. 31 at Galle, Sept. 8 at Pallekele and Sept. 16 in Colombo.

Australia's tour itinerary:

Aug. 6 - 1st Twenty20, Pallekele.

Aug. 8 - 2nd Twenty20, Pallekele.

Aug. 10 - 1st ODI, Pallekele.

Aug. 14 - 2nd ODI, Hambantota.

Aug. 16 - 3rd ODI, Hambantota.

Aug. 20 - 4th ODI, Colombo.

Aug. 22 - 5th ODI, Colombo.

Aug. 25 - Three-day practice match, Colombo.

Aug. 31 - 1st test, Galle.

Sept. 8 - 2nd test, Pallekele

Sept.16 - 3rd test, Colombo.
