Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana striker Bernard Parker is reportedly on the radar of PSL champions SuperSport United.

The hitman, who was exceptional during the Confederations Cup, has had a torrid time in Serbia with his current club Red Star Belgrade.

The European outfit is in the midst of a financial meltdown and the 22-year-old is embroiled in a wage dispute with his employers, who seem keen to hang onto him.

However, Parker is desperate to end his Serbian nightmare and despite stating his desire to remain abroad, a lucrative local deal would be tempting ahead of next year's World Cup in South Africa.

Matsatsantsa chairperson Khulu Sibiya has revealed his adoration for the former Thanda Royal Zulu captain.

"Parker is a player that I will not think twice to sign," he told the Sowetan.

"He is a great player and I will be glad if he can play for me.

"I have loved this boy since his days at Royal Zulu. Are you sure he is available?

"If you manage to speak to him, please tell him that I love him."

SuperSport have already snapped up Bafana midfielder Siyabonga Nkosi and Parker's addition could see the club achieve a hat-trick of league titles.

"I have brought a quality player like Siyabonga Nkosi and I will be much happier to have another quality player like Parker," Sibiya added.

The forward's agent Mike Makaab admitted his client has received offers from Europe, with Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce and Maccabi Haifa all interested in the man Benni McCarthy hailed as his successor.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are also reported to be circling for Parker's signature.

CHIEFS is time to secure Parker'signature.Kaizer Motaung must n't relly on his son,Bobby to recruite players.Bra Kaizer you know what it means Kaizer Chiefs, otherwise ancestors will turn back to Chiefs if U keep on giving Bobby power to control the activities of Amakhosi.Instead authorise Doctor,Ace Khuse, Ntsie,Khungoane etc the powers than Bobby. Please relly on development(Academy)of Kaizer Chiefs, not depending on from the rejected, tired, old crocks. What's the use of our Development if we keep on buying mekaupere e kgathetseng?Chieefs is source of soccer in RSA and worldwide so why Kaizer o senya ntho e ntle ka tsela ye ka go fa Bobby mosebetsi o a sa o tsebeng?Rather give former KHOSI players to do the JOB.

If chiefs are serious about restoring their dented pride, these are the kind of players they should be looking at instead of rejects and A LOT inexperienced kids. Promote 1 or 2 kids per season and have good quality experienced palyers for these kids to learn from.

Our payers need to realise that to make the World Cup squad, you need, amongst others, serious game time. Going overseas does not guarantee that and competing hard at home may be the safer route. Parker, Modise, Khune, Khanyeza et al must think long and hard. McCarthy, Vilakazi, Moon and a few others have nearly had their careers spoilt by overseas teams.

I am suprised no is mentioning Sundowns in these interested parties. I mean, Parker was first linked with Sundowns but watch this space. Parker's value has paraschutted through the roof and Sundowns can afford to bring the hitman to Cloorkop. Just imagine Parker and Mphela upfront supported by Lentjies

What is Kaizer chiefs doing not signing this guy up? Is Nkosinathis Nhleko the best Bobby can do? Come on man, stop being so bloody stingy and pay up. Chiefs is full of below average players if you ask me. No one in that entire team with the exception of Itumeleng Khune has that special something.

Go play for Fernabache young man - It will be a worthwhile experience and experiment. SSU and all these local cats are not worth such talent and Maccabi Haifa shouldn't be an option, I guess you have seen the poor form of Fanteni lately.
