Johannesburg - British and Irish Lions lock Simon Shaw was banned for two weeks on Sunday after being cited for dangerous play during a 28-9 Test victory over South Africa.Shaw struck the back of Springboks scrumhalf Fourie du Preez with his knee three minutes before half-time in the third and final Test at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday.Australian referee Stuart Dickinson sent Shaw to the sinbin, the incident was noted by citing officer Steve Hinds of New Zealand, and the veteran England forward appeared before judicial officer Alan Hudson of Canada on Sunday.The Lions lost the series against the world champions 2-1 after going down 26-21 in Durban and 28-25 in Pretoria on the previous two weekends.
