Newport - Friday's Heineken Cup Pool Two match between Newport-Gwent Dragons and French visitors Biarritz was postponed because of a partially frozen pitch at Rodney Parade.

Following a pitch inspection by Irish Test referee Alain Rolland and officials of both teams it was decided conditions were unplayable.

The match has now been scheduled for Saturday at the Parc y Scarlets home, ground of Newport's nearby Welsh rivals Llanelli, with kick-off at 15:35 SA time.

Biarritz won their home match against Newport 49-13 last weekend.
