When you read the following on the back cover of the book, you know you are in for an exciting ride: “I will do everything I can to bring the number one to Ferrari. The whole team and all the fans deserve it.”

If you’re a Schumi fan or not…this book is a sheer delight. The colour photographs make one smile and reminisce.

Every one knows of Schumacher’s struggle to find a sponsor when he was still young  and his determination and doggedness to be the best, even when he was racing go-karts.

Something that came as a surprise was the extent of Schumacher’s drive to surpass Ayrton Senna. As Allen said: “”The two had many run-ins, both on and off the track as Schumacher deliberately attempted to get under Senna’s skin.”

The more one reads, the more one understands that nothing but winning the next race was important to Schumacher. He had to win at all cost.

The information about the private life of Schumacher makes for fascinating reading.  He and his wife Corinna and their two children moved to a private area of Switzerland in 1996 and his children attend an international school.

Fitness always played an integral part in the star’s life, but his passion for soccer was an eye-opener.   He has a genuine commitment to the game and is an active player.

At the end of this fascinating book one finds page upon page of career statistics and one can but marvel at what Schumacher achieved.
